Getting Started
Access Point Settings
The access points required for connecting to the Internet
are preset. You may add or change them as required.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "More..." ` "Mobile networks" `
"Access Point Names".
2 Tap the radio button for the access point.
Adding an access point
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "More..." ` "Mobile networks" `
"Access Point Names".
2 Tap ` "New APN".
3 Tap "Name" ` enter the name of the new network
profile ` "OK".
4 Tap "APN" ` enter the access point name ` "OK".
5 Enter any other items requested by your network
operator.
6 Tap ` "Save".
Note
Do not change "MCC" or "MNC". Otherwise, registered /
added access points will no longer display on the screen. If
access points no longer display due to the "MCC" or "MNC"
setting being changed, you can either restore default settings
or manually set the access points again.
Initializing an access point
When you initialize an access point, it returns to its
default settings.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "More..." ` "Mobile networks" `
"Access Point Names".
2 Tap ` "Reset to default".
Wi-Fi Settings
Wi-Fi is a function that allows you to use email and the
Internet, via access points for household / corporate
networks or public wireless LAN services.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "Wi-Fi".
2 Slide "OFF" to "ON".
A scan for Wi-Fi networks begins automatically. A list
of available networks appears.
If your network does not appear, tap "SCAN" to begin
a scan again.
3 Select the Wi-Fi network.
4 Enter the password when requested.
5 Tap "Connect".
Adding a Wi-Fi network manually
For information on using an access point, refer to the
manual for the access point.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "Wi-Fi".
2 Slide "OFF" to "ON".
3 Tap "ADD NETWORK".
4 Enter "Network SSID" and the "Security" type.
5 Enter additional security information as required.
6 Tap "Save".
Disconnecting a connected Wi-Fi
network
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "Wi-Fi".
2 Slide "ON" to "OFF".
The password of the connected Wi-Fi network will be
stored.
To delete the password, tap the connected Wi-Fi
network ` "Forget" while the "Wi-Fi" is "ON".
