Google Maps
Yo u can use Google Maps display your current location,
search other locations, search directions, etc. To use
Google Maps, a 3G / GPRS or Wi-Fi connection enabling
data communication is required. Set the Location Service
on beforehand. (P.36)
From the application list screen, tap "Maps".
Displaying the current location
Ta p .
Searching for a location
Ta p ` enter the location.
Yo u can save the searched location as Starred Places by
tapping ` . After saving, you can display the starred
place later by tapping ` "My Places". List of
"STARRED" appears. You can also display a recently
searched location by tapping "RECENT".
Viewing Street View
To uch and hold a point to view ` ` "Street view".
Some regions are not supported for Street View.
Displaying layers
Ta p ` the item to display information such as traffic
conditions overlaid on a map, or switch to an aerial
photograph.
Traffic conditions and railway lines are provided for
limited regions.
Clearing a map
Ta p ` "Clear Map" to clear all displayed layers and
directions search results.
Changing Google map settings
1 Tap ` "Settings".
2 Tap the item to set.
Looking up directions
Yo u can view directions to your destination.
1 While viewing a map, tap .
2 Enter the starting point in the text box above.
3 Enter the arrival point in the text box below.
Yo u can tap and specify a contacts address, map
location, etc.
4 Tap the means ( (car) / (public transport) /
(on foot)) ` "GET DIRECTIONS".
When several sets of directions are found, tap the
desired directions.
If you tap , you can select transit mode and
preference. Also, you can check departure time etc,
and view later or earlier trips accordingly.
Switching the start ant arrival points
Before step 4, tap ` "Reverse Start & End".
