Getting Started
Optional settings for Wi-Fi
Turn on "Wi-Fi" beforehand.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "Wi-Fi".
2 Tap ` "Advanced".
3 Tap the item to set up.
• "Network notification"
Check the box for enabling.
• "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep"
Tap to select an item.
•"Wi-Fi frequency band"
Tap to select an item.
Also, "MAC address" and "IP address" are displayed
on the screen.
Setting an Email
Account
Yo u can use email by setting up your own account with
any of the usual service providers. Details on setting up
your account should be available from your provider.
1 From the applications list screen, tap "Email".
2 Enter the email address and password ` "Next".
For an email account without preset provider
information, settings must be completed manually.
Contact your provider for details on settings.
3 Follow the screen prompts to configure the
account.
■ To set another account
From the "Email" screen, tap ` "Settings" ` "ADD
ACCOUNT".
Check the box for sending email from the adding account
by default.
Setting a Google or other account
By configuring a Google account, you can use Gmail,
market, and other services.
1 From the Idle screen, tap ` "System
settings" ` "Accounts & sync" ` "ADD
ACCOUNT".
2 Tap the type of account.
3 Follow the screen prompts to configure the
account.
