Category 5 (Cat 5) or higher
Category 5e (Cat 5e) or higher
Category 6A (Cat 6A) or higher
For speeds of 10 Gbps, if the cable length is shorter than 45 meters (148 feet), you can use a Cat 5e
cable. Because you might not experience the speeds listed when using cable runs longer than 100
meters, we recommend using a higher category of Ethernet cable than the category listed for runs
longer than 100 meters.
For more information about the types of Ethernet cable, see https://www.howtogeek.com/70494/what-
kind-of-ethernet-cat-5e6a-cable-should-i-use/.
