* LANs (networks) and LAN ports are two different concepts. By default, all LAN ports and the WAN port on the
router, and all LAN ports on any connected satellites, are Ethernet ports in the same physical network segment (LAN
1), and members of VLAN 1. However, you can assign a LAN port to a different VLAN (see Change the VLAN profile
for an Ethernet port on page 85).

Except for LAN 1, you can change the VLAN profile assignments for the LANs (see
Change the VLAN profile for a LAN on page 83). For more information about LANs in
general, see Manage the LANs on page 110.
By default, VLAN 1 is enabled for the Wireless 1 network. For any other WLANs that you
enable, you can change the VLAN profile assignments for the WLANs (see Enable,
change, or disable the VLAN profile for a WiFi network on page 84). For information
about the WLANs in general, see Manage the WiFi Networks on page 88.
VLAN profiles
A VLAN profile consists of a VLAN ID, VLAN name, the client isolation settings, and the
network isolation setting.
You can change the preset VLAN profiles, add custom VLAN profiles, and delete custom
VLAN profiles.
Add a new VLAN profile
You can add a new VLAN profile, which consists of a VLAN name, VLAN ID, the client
isolation settings, and the network isolation setting.
