The Ethernet Port Aggregation page displays. The Ethernet Port Aggregation Status
field shows whether port aggregation is active:
Inactive. No link aggregation LAN device is connected to Ethernet ports 3 and
4 on your router.
Active. A link aggregation LAN device is connected to Ethernet ports 3 and 4
on your router.
5.
To change the Ethernet port aggregation mode, select one of the following radio
buttons:
Disable. This mode is selected by default. This mode disables Ethernet port
aggregation on your router. Ethernet ports 3 and 4 can be used as independent
Ethernet ports.
Enable (LACP-IEEE 803.3ad). After you connect the Ethernet cables, the router
communicates with the LAN device that is connected to Ethernet ports 3 and 4
on your router, and checks to see if Ethernet port aggregation is supported on
the LAN device. If Ethernet port aggregation is supported, the router automatically
trunks Ethernet ports 3 and 4. If not, Ethernet ports 3 and 4 work as independent
Ethernet ports. We recommend that you select this mode unless your LAN device
can support a static link aggregation group (LAG) only.
Static. If your device supports a static LAG only, select this mode. Otherwise, we
recommend that you to select the Enable (LACP-IEEE 802.3ad) radio button
instead.
Note: If your LAN device supports a static LAG only, you must enable static mode
on your router before you connect your device to Ethernet ports 3 and 4 on the
router.
6.
If you made changes, click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
