6. Scroll down and click the WPS heading to expand the WPS settings.
In most situations, the default settings work fine, but you can change them:
• Enable WPS PIN. When this check box is selected, you can use a PIN to connect to
the extender WiFi network with WPS.
If someone enters the wrong PIN multiple times when attempting to connect with
WPS, this check box is automatically cleared.
• Auto disable the PIN after 3 failed PIN entries, to prevent PIN compromise. This
setting specifies the number of times the wrong PIN can be entered before WPS PIN
access is automatically disabled to protect your WiFi network from unauthorized
access.
• Keep existing W
iFi settings for 2.4 GHz network. This setting means that the name
of the WiFi network remains the same when WPS is used. If you clear this check box
each time you use WPS to connect, the extender WiFi network name is replaced with
a new, randomly generated WiFi network name.
