Press
the power switch
to
turn on the camera.
•
The power-on lamp
(green) lights, and then
the
monitor
is
turned on (the power-on lamp
turns
off
when the
monitor
is
turned on).

If
no operations
are
performed for a while,
the
monitor
will
turn off, the camera
will
enter
standby mode, and the power-on
lamp will flash. If
no operations
are
performed for another 3
minutes,
the
camera will
turn
off
automatically.

To
turn
on
the monitor again
in
standby mode, perform either one
of
the
following operations.
-
Press
the
power
switch,
shutter-release
button,
[E)
button,
or
e
(""If
movie-record)
button.
- Rotate
the
mode
dial.
•
By
default,
the camera enters standby
mode
in
about
1
minute
when
you
are
using
shooting
mode
or
playback mode.
