Note that digital zoom is not available when Scene auto selector, Portrait, or Night portrait is selected for scene mode, so change the scene mode. Also, it is not available when shooting in smile mode, so change the shooting mode. Digital zoom is unavailable just before recording a movie, but up to 2× can be applied while recording movies, so wait until after movie recording. Finally, it is not available when Multi-shot 16 is selected for the Continuous setting, so change the Continuous setting.
