  When shooting with backlighting or when a very strong light source (such as sunlight) is in the frame, a ring-shaped belt or rainbow-colored stripe (ghosting) may occur on your Nikon Digital Camera. Change the position of the light source, or frame the picture so that the light source does not enter the frame and try again.

  Nikon Transfer 2 may not start when your Nikon Digital Camera is connected because the camera is off, the battery is exhausted, the USB cable is not correctly connected, or the camera is not recognized by the computer.   With some PictBridge-compatible printers, the PictBridge startup screen may not be displayed and it may be impossible to print images when Auto is selected for the Charge by computer option in the setup menu of your Nikon Digital Camera. Set the Charge by computer option to Off and reconnect the camera to the printer.

  If the monitor turns off and the power-on lamp blinks rapidly on your Nikon Digital Camera, it indicates that the battery temperature is high. Turn off the camera and allow the battery to cool down before resuming use. After the lamp blinks for three minutes, the camera will turn off automatically. Pressing the power switch also turns off the camera.

  The battery inserted in your Nikon Digital Camera may not be charging because Off is selected for Charge by computer in the setup menu. Confirm all connections. When charging by connecting the camera to a computer, battery charging stops when the camera is turned off, or when the computer is suspended (sleeping), and the camera may turn off. Depending upon computer specifications, settings, and status, charging the battery inserted in the camera may not be possible via computer connection.

  First, allow any ongoing recording to finish. If the issue persists, try turning the camera off. If it doesn't turn off, remove and reinsert the battery or disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter if you're using one. Note that while any data being recorded will be lost, previously recorded data will remain unaffected.
