Manual Focus
Manual focus can be used when autofocus does not produce the
desired results.

Select manual focus.

Choose a magnification.

Display the manual focus guides.
Highlight Manual focus in the focus
mode menu (0 129) and press 2.
To choose the magnification for the
manual focus display, highlight 10×
zoom, 5× zoom, or 2× zoom and
press J.
In the shooting display, press J to
magnify the view at the center of the
frame by the amount selected in
Step 2 (this feature is not available
during movie recording or in slow-
motion movie mode). Manual focus
guides are also displayed.
