in very rare instances
result
in the charger showing that charg-
ing
is
complete when the battery
is
only partially
charged. Remove and
reinsert the battery
to
begin charg-
ing again.

the
Camera
and
Accessories
Use
the
charger
with
compatible
batteries only.
Unplug when
not
in
use.
Memory
Cards:
•
The
camera stores pictures on
SD,
SDHC,
and
SDXC
memory
cards
(available separately).
•
Do
not
remove memory cards
from the camera, turn the camera
off, or remove or disconnect
the
power source
during
formatting
or
while
data
are
being recorded,
deleted, or copied
to
a computer.
Failure
to
observe these precau-
tions could
result in
loss
of
data or
in
damage
to
the camera or card.
•
Do
not
touch the card terminals
with
your
fingers
or
metal
objects.
• Do
not
bend, drop, or subject
to
strong physical shocks.
• Do
not
apply force
to
the card
casing. Failure
to
observe this pre-
caution could damage the card.

Do
not
expose
to
water, heat,
high levels
of
humidity, or direct
sunlight.

Do
not
format memory cards in a
computer.
The camera
is
a precision device and requires regular servicing. Nikon
recommends that the camera
be
inspected by the original retailer or
Nikon-authorized service representative once every one
to
two
years,
and that
it
be
serviced once every three
to
five
years
(note that
fees
apply
to
these services). Frequent inspection and servicing are particu-
larly
recommended
if
the camera
is
used
professionally. Any accesso-
ries
regularly used
with
the camera, such
as
lenses,
should
be
included
when the camera
is
inspected or serviced.
