5. Walk around unit and check that the bottom surfaces of all stabilizer pads
are in full contact with the ground.
IMPORTANT! If one or more pads are not at on surface, raise stabilizers and
repeat operation.
IMPORTANT! If one or more stabilizers are fully extended and do not contact
ground, reposition the unit.
Raise and lock handrails before raising or lowering the lift.
Safety chains must be in place. Accidentally falling from the platform could
result in serious injury.
6. Enter the platform using the stairs and handrails provided.
7. Observe platform and handrails during lifting operation and make sure that
no part of platform or handrails comes in contact with aircraft.
2.3.4 How to Safely Service the Aircraft
Be sure that the shift control lever is secure in the neutral
detent and the parking brake is applied to prevent unintended movement that
could result in serious injury or death.
1. Remove safety chains and lower handrails only if necessary and only in
areas where necessary. Replace handrails and safety chains as soon as
possible.
2. Engine may be stopped and restarted using ENGINE OFF/RUN/START
control switch on platform control station.
3. Platform level may be adjusted up and down using buttons on platform
control station.
2.3.5 How to Safely Leave the Aircraft
1. Make sure that handrails are raised and locked in position. Make sure that
all safety chains are in place.
2. Walk around platform and check that no personnel or foreign objects are
underneath platform.
3. Lower platform fully using buttons on control station.
4. Exit platform using the stairs and handrails provided.
5. Walk around unit and ensure that there are no obstructions in the desired
direction of movement.
6. Retract stabilizers, place trans. shift lever in gear, release handbrake
7. Drive unit to designated parking position.
8. Place transmission shift lever in Neutral position and set handbrake.
Switch o󰀨 engine.
2.3.6 Emergency Shutdown
To shut down all operating functions:
1. Release all pushbuttons or toggle switches.
2. Turn o󰀨 engine (either from ignition switch on instrument panel or from
"Engine" toggle switch on platform control station).
