4 REPAIRS
Per form lock out/tagout pro ce dures be fore ad just ing,
lu bri cat ing, clean ing or oth er wise ser vic ing. Fail ure to do so could re sult in
un ex pected startup and could cause se ri ous in jury or death.
Any brake service, other than periodic inspection or bleeding,
should be performed only by personnel specially trained in brake service.
Improper and poor quality service procedures can result in brake system
failure, loss of vehicle control, and personal injury.
4.1 Stabilizer Proximity
1. Fully extend Stabilizers.
2. Remove proximity switch from location on left-hand structural channel
directly behind cab.
3. Fully retract stabilizers.
4. Working from inside of stair assembly cavity, insert switch body through
mounting hole unit end of switch touches stabilizer arm. Hold in this
position and snug remaining nut up against channel. Pull switch out 1/8"
and again snug nut up against channel.
5. Fully extend stabilizer
6. Install locking nut on switch body.
7. Fully retract stabilizers. Switch is now properly adjusted with a 1/8"
clearance between end of proximity switch and retracted stabilizer arm.
