Preparing your phone for use
3 Insert the SIM card, ensuring that the
bevelled corner is on the bottom right
and the golden contact area is
downwards.
4 Slide the card holder to the left to
lock the card in its place.
5 Place the battery on the back of the
phone and slide it up the body of the
phone until it locks into place.
Notes about SIM cards
• Keep all miniature SIM cards out of the reach of small children.
• The SIM card and its contacts can easily be damaged by scratches or
bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or removing the card.
• Before installing the SIM card, always make sure that the phone is
switched off before you remove the battery.
• Charge the battery
1 Connect the lead from the charger to the bottom of the phone.
2 Connect the charger to an AC wall outlet. The battery indicator bar
starts to scroll.
Note: If the battery is totally empty, it may take a few minutes before
the charging indication appears on the display.
Tip: The phone can be used while charging if the phone is switched on.
3 The battery is fully charged when the battery indicator bar stops
scrolling, and the
Battery full text is briefly displayed if the
phone is switched on.
