• About display indicators & icons
Display indicators and icons inform you about the operation of your
phone. Most essential indicators and icons related to various phone
functions are explained later in this user’s guide.
Standby mode
The indicators described below are shown when
the phone is ready for use, with no characters
entered by the user. This screen is called standby
mode or clear display.
Operator Indicates in which wireless network
the phone is currently used.
(antenna pic.) Shows the signal strength of the wireless and barnetwork at
your current location. The higher the bar, the stronger the signal.
(battery pic.) Shows the battery charge level. The higher the and barbar,
the more power in the battery.
• About the phone book
You can store phone numbers and their associated names in the memory
of the phone (internal phone book) or the SIM card (SIM phone book). The
internal phone book can store up to 1000 names with multiple numbers
per name (see “Saving several numbers with a name” on page40.) The
phone supports SIM cards which can store up to 250 names and phone
numbers.

To use the phone book:
Press Names., scroll to the desired function (for example, Add new) and
press Roller.
