If it's protruding, the switch may have tripped. Wait five minutes, then press the switch back in to reset it.

      If the walking belt of your NordicTrack Treadmill slows down when you walk on it: 1. The walking belt might be overtightened. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise, about 1/4 of a turn. 2. Check the gap between the Magnet and the Reed Switch; it should be approximately 1/8 inch (3 mm). 3. Run the treadmill for a few minutes to ensure the speed reading is correct.

      If the incline on your NordicTrack Treadmill isn't changing correctly, recalibrate the incline system. Hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key, and then release both buttons. Press the Stop button, then press the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will rise to the maximum incline and then return to the minimum level. If it doesn't calibrate, press the Stop button again, then press the Incline increase or decrease button again. Remove the key when calibrated.

      If your NordicTrack Treadmill's walking belt is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord first. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn with the hex key. If it shifted right, turn the left bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug the cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill briefly. Repeat until centered. If the walking belt slips when walked on, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn with the hex key. You should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform when correctly tightened. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened.
