This set-top box is designed to reduce its impact on the environment and complies with European Directive
2005/125/EC.
It has an extra mode of operation known as “ECO” that needs very little power, certainly much less than is used
in traditional standby. See the table below and please note that:
• By using the ECO mode you will save energy (and therefore money) and reduce carbon dioxide emissions
that damage the environment.
• You use the standby button (S) on your remote control (or on the front panel of your set-top box) to
switch between On and standby.
• After you have put your set-top box into standby, if you do not press any buttons, your set-top box will go
into ECO mode automatically after 15 to 20 seconds.
Note: Your set-top box cannot receive the updates from the network in ECO mode.
• To switch on your set-top box from the ECO or standby mode, press the standby button (S) or the MENU
button on the front panel of your set-top box. You can also press the standby button (S), INFO button or
the MENU button on your remote control to switch on your set-top box from ECO or standby mode.
• If you will not be using your set-top box for several days, you can cut its energy consumption to zero by
unplugging its 12V power-supply unit from the mains.
