Enabling Multiple SDI Cards
OnsystemswithmorethanoneNVIDIAQuadroFXSDIcard,theSendGraphicstoSDI
OutputpageletsyouconfiguretheSDIoutputforeachcard.Beforeyoucandothis,all
cardsmustbeenabled.
ToenablemultipleSDIcards
1 MakesureadisplayisconnectedtoeachSDI
cardthatyouwanttoenable.
2 OpentheWindowsDisplayPropertiespage.
a Right‐clickthedesktop,thenclickPropertiesfromthepop‐upmenu.
b ClicktheSettingstab.
3 Determinewhichmonitoriconcorrespondstothegraphicscardthatyouwantto
enable.
Thereshouldbetwomonitoriconsforeachgraphics
cardinthesystem.Typically,
monitors1and3areconnectedtoonegraphicscardandmonitors2and4are
connectedtotheother.Forexample,ifmonitor1isalreadyattached,thenmonitor2
wouldbegrayedout,indicatingthatitisconnectedtothegraphicscardthatis
notyet
enabled.
4 Right‐clickthegrayed‐outmonitoriconcorrespondingtothegraphicscardyouwant
toenable,thenclickAttachedfromthepop‐upmenu.

Clickthemonitoricon,thenclicktheExtendmyWindowsdesktopontothismonitor
checkbox.
5 ClickOK.
Youcannowconfigure
theSDIoutputforeachSDIcardasdescribedinBasicSDISetup.
OpentheViewSystemTopologypage(see“ViewingtheSDIConnectionStatusUsingthe
TopologyViewer”onpage 30)toverifyyourdisplay‐to‐graphicscardconnections.
