3.10 -HEATING MODE (HP ONLY)
a. When used in this mode, the appliance heats the room. The air conditioner must be installed in the same
way as when the appliance runs in cooling mode, with an added water drain pipe at the rear of the air
conditioner,inplaceofthecap(24)(seegure21-22-23).
b. If you have no way of continuously draining the water produced by the air conditioner, you can leave the
rear cap on. In this case, after a certain number of hours of operation (depending on the set temperature,
humiditylevel,sizeoftheroometc.)thetanksllsandmustbeemptied.
c. Thisconditionissignalledontheairconditioner’scontrolpanelbythenumber“3”ashing.
d. To restart the air conditioner, proceed as follows:
- remove the plug from the socket
- empty the water tray by removing the rear cap (24)
- replace the rear cap
- plug the air conditioner into the socket
- press the stand-by key (SW7 or B1) to restart the air conditioner
e. Heating mode can be selected by pressing key B2 on the remote control or SW6 on the control panel until
the heating only symbol (

) appears on the remote control and on the control panel display.
f. The internal fan always switches on at minimum speed and after a few seconds goes to the selected
speed (by pressing B6 or SW2) or to BLUE AIR automatic speed.
g. The set temperature can be adjusted between 16 °C and 27 °C (60 F and 81 F where applicable) with 1
°C variations by pressing keys B4/B5 or SW4/SW5.
The relative temperature appears on the remote control and on the control panel display (D1, D2, D3.).
h. When this operating mode is activated, if the ambient temperature is below that set, the air conditioner
will switch on and supply heat after a few minutes.
i. On reaching the set temperature, the air conditioner will switch off until the ambient temperature has once
again dropped below that selected.
Bothoftheseconditionsareentirelynormalandmustnotbeconsideredasmal-
functions.
 • Iftheambienttemperatureisparticularlylow,theapplianceisperiodicallyde-
activatedforafewminutes.
 • Intheevent ofparticularenvironmentalconditions,theexternalfanmaybe
cyclicallydeactivated.
3.11 - TURBO FUNCTIONING
a. This mode can be selected by pressing B2 on the remote control or SW6 on the control panel until symbol
TURBO appears on the control panel display.
b. It sets the unit in cooling mode with Set temperature =16°C and maximum fan speed to reach the set
temperature as quickly as possible.
