11. Hold the control section with the instrument channel port pointing down and
disconnect the suction cleaning adapter from the endoscope (see Figure
7.23).

12. Disconnect the syringe from the endoscope.
13. Wipe and dry the external surfaces of the endoscope and suction cleaning
adapter with a sterile, lint-free cloth.
14. Dry the endoscope and suction cleaning adapter.
15. Store the components following the instructions given in Chapter 9, “Storage
and Disposal”.
Flushing the channels with 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol
after rinsing them with sterile water to facilitate drying the
inside of the channels.
