Attaching the biopsy valve (MD-495)
If the biopsy valve (MD-495) is not properly connected to the
instrument channel port, it can reduce the efficacy of the
endoscope’s suction system and may cause patient debris to
leak or spray from the endoscope, posing an infection-control
risk.
Attach the biopsy valve (MD-495) to the instrument channel port of the
endoscope (see Figure 3.14). Confirm that the biopsy valve fits properly.
