Liftthestandfromtheelectricalbasebygraspingthearmand
liftingstraightupuntilthebottomofthestandwellclears
theelectricalbase.Iftheunitcontainsalightpresetcontrolandswitch,besuretodisengagetheprintedcircuitboard
containing the preset control and switch from the notch in the side of the base before lifting the stand
clear of the
electricalbase.
Thestand,withouttheelectricalbase,maynowbeplacedona cleanflatsurfaceinitsnormaluprightposition.Withthe
electricalbaseremoved,thefragileilluminationcomponentsareexposedontheopenbottomofthestandandmaybe
damagedifthestand
isnotplacedonasuitable clutter‐freesurface.Storethestandsomeplaceoutofharm’swayand
wheredustanddebriswillnotaccumulateontheexposedlightingcomponents.

SettingUpforTroubleshootingtheBase
Settheelectricalbaseonasuitableworksurface.Iftheunitincludesalightpresetcontr o l/switch,orienttheprinted
circuit board containing the control and switch such that it will not make contac t with the chassis or any other
electricallyconductiveitemsduringthetroubleshootingprocess.
Carefullyplugthelamp
houseintoJ103ontherearoftheelectricalbase,asshowninFigure5,makingsurebothcon tact
pinsofthelamphouseengagethematingreceptaclesofJ103.Thelamphou sewillbefragileandunsupportedwhen
pluggedintotheelectricalbasewithoutthestand,sincethetwo
alignment/supportpinsonthelamphousewillnotbe
engagedwiththematingholesinthestand.Onceagain,donottouchthehalogenlampwithyourfingers.
