      If the field of view in your Olympus Microscope is obscured or not evenly illuminated, here's what might be happening: * The light path selector knob might be positioned halfway. Make sure to set the knob into a click position according to the observation method. * The condenser may not be attached properly. Re-attach it. * The revolving nosepiece might not be correctly attached. Push the side dovetail all the way until it stops. * You might be using an objective that falls outside the condenser’s illumination range. Use a condenser that matches the intended purpose. * The condenser may not be properly centered. Center the condenser. * The field iris diaphragm could be stopped down too far. Open the field iris diaphragm until it circumscribes the field.
