this
microscope

30WHAL
halogen
bulb
(Phillips
5761)

Holding
the
bulb

with
gloves
or
a
piece
of
gauze,
insert
the
bulb
pins

into
the
pin
holes
@.

Do
not
touch
the
bulb
with
your
fingers.
If
you
accidentally
get
fingerprints
on
the
bulb,
wipe
it
with
a
piece
of
soft
cloth.

Align
the
guide
pins

the
guide
pin
slots

and
the
plug

with
the
socket

gently
push
the
illuminator
into
place.

Whenever
you
replace
the
bulb,
first
turn
off
the
power
switch
and
wait
for
bulb
and
lamp
socket
to
cool.
Attach
the
Stage
(Fig.

Fully
loosen
the
clamping
screw

on
the
stage.
2.
Carefully
lower
the
stage
into
the
round
sleeve
on
the
substage,
then
tighten
the
clamping
screw.
Attach
the
Specimen
Holder
(Fig.
6)
Loosen
the
specimen
holder
clamping
screws
@
without
exposing
the
threads.
*
Be
careful
to
avoid
loosening
the
specimen
holder
clamping
screws
too
much.
If
you
loosen
the
screws
too
much,
the
threads
will
prevent
complete
insertion
of
the
specimen
holder.
Align
the
slot
in
the
specimen
holder
with
the
clamping
screws,
then
slide
the
specimen
holder
backwards
as
far
as
it
will
go.
*
Slide
the
specimen
holder
all
the
way
back
or
it
will
not
be
positioned
properly.

Tighten
the
specimen
holder
clamping
screws.
