Focusing
Selecting a focusing area (AF MODE)
Use the procedure below to select the area used for focusing on the subject.
NORMAL : In this mode, the camera looks at almost the entire screen and
automatically selects the subject to be used for focusing. Use
this mode for normal photography. (Default setting)
SPOT : In this mode, the camera focuses on the center of the object in
the AF target mark in the viewfinder.
Press the (Menu) button.
The menu screen appears.
Use or on the
Arrow pad to select "MODE
SETUP" and then press
to select "SETUP".
When you press the [OK]
button, the MODE SETUP
screen appears.
Press or to select
"AF MODE" and then
press .
Press or to select
"NORMAL" or "SPOT".
Press the [OK] button to
save the setting and return
to the Menu screen.
Press the [OK] button
repeatedly until the menu
disappears.
