Brightness fluctuations inthe camera image
With very highillumination intensities and short exposure times, the
following phenomena canoccur:
n Flickering inthe image displayed
n Exposure fluctuation
If possible, reduce the illumination light levelor use an attenuation
filter to increase the exposure time to 20 ms or longer.
Obscured periphery of the field of view due to long intermediate
tubelength
If the intermediate tubelength is long (see examples below), the
periphery of the field of view may be obscured depending on the
observation tube and objective used together.
Examples whenthe intermediate tubelength is long:
n 2 or more intermediate tubes are used ina stack.
n BX3 series: The reflected light illuminator and the
intermediate adapter are combined.
n IX3 series: IX73P2F or IX83P2ZF is used as a microscope
frame.
n All reflected microscopes whena brightfield or polarization
observation method is used. Exceptions are the BX53MRF-S
and BX53MTRF-S microscope frames whenthe reflected
light illuminator BX3M-KMA-S is used.
