  If the image is not in focus on your Olympus Digital Camera, consider the following: * Ensure the microscope is properly focused by pressing any button or key on the hand switch, mouse, or keyboard. * Adjust parfocality with the TV adapter if it is not properly adjusted. * Slightly close the aperture iris diaphragm of the condenser if it is open too wide. * Adjust the field iris diaphragm until the image circumscribes the field of view. * Clean any contaminated lens components of the microscope or the cover glass on the front of the camera.

  If the DP2-TWAIN or cellSens / OLYMPUS Stream window of your Olympus Microscope is not displayed correctly, or if the menu characters are not displayed correctly, the resolution setting of the screen may be incorrect. Set the resolution setting at 1280 x 1024 or more in the properties of the screen. Also, if a large font has been selected for the font size of the screen, select a small font in the properties of the screen.

  If the camera head of your Olympus Microscope is not working, make sure the main switch of the camera head is set to ON. If you're using the camera cable (9pins-4pins), ensure the AC adapter is correctly connected to the camera head and the power cord is firmly plugged into a power outlet. Also, verify that the camera cable is correctly connected.

  If still images cannot be recorded on your Olympus Microscope, it may be due to ongoing processing. Wait until the DP2-TWAIN or cellSens / OLYMPUS stream completes recording. If necessary, cancel the process and try recording again. Also, wait for file saving to complete. Ensure your computer has sufficient memory by closing other software and saving any unsaved images.

Why is my Olympus Microscope picture too bright?

  If the Olympus Microscope picture is too bright, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the exposure correction is set in the + direction and adjust it to the desired value. Also, verify the metering area; if it's set to a dark area outside the region of interest, move it to the area where you want optimum exposure. Cancel AE lock if it was set when the exposure time was longer than required. Reset and readjust the input highlight level if it’s too high. Finally, reduce the microscope illumination intensity or engage an ND filter to reduce brightness.

  If functions interlocked with microscope operations do not work on your Olympus Digital Camera, check the following: * Ensure that the cables of the microscope, control box for coded units, and DP21 are correctly connected. * Verify that the control box for coded units is recognized. Set the main switches of the control box for coded units and DP21-CB to ON in the following order: 1) control box; 2) DP21-CB. * Confirm that the code revolving nosepiece is connected to the control box for coded units.
