Chapter 8 Storage and maintenance
Stow accessories as illustrated below.
WARNING
• Before storing the base unit in the case, be sure to remove the battery and turn the base unit
off. Otherwise, the equipment may overheat and cause a fire.
CAUTION
• Be sure to use the drum when storing the insertion tube.
• Do not use an excessive force when inserting the insertion tube distal end into the distal end
holder. Otherwise, the insertion tube may be damaged.
• Make sure to remove twist from the insertion tube when winding it.
• Do not use an excessive force when winding the insertion tube around the drum. Otherwise,
the insertion tube may be damaged.
• Do not apply an excessive force to the insertion tube when putting the drum around which it
is wound in the storage bag.
• Make sure that the case’s latch is locked properly. If it is locked improperly, the top cover may
open during transport.
• When closing the top cover, be careful that your hand, the strap, insertion tube, cables or the
inner cover are not pinched.
• When returning the base unit to its case, open the case in a stable place before repacking the
equipment.
• Use only the designated case. Otherwise, the scope unit and/or base unit may be damaged
or malfunction.
