8.5 Cleaning/storing the hook assembly

Cleaning the hook assembly
CAUTION
• During cleaning, take care not to bend the spring shaft into a small curvature radius or apply
an excessive force to the hook.
1 Remove the hook assembly by reversing the procedure steps
described in section “4.2 Attaching the hook assembly (IV8635X1
only)” (page 66).
2 If the hook assembly is contaminated by soil or oil, wash it away
with a cleaning fluid such as neutral detergent, rinse well and dry
completely.
Storing the hook assembly
1 Take out the hook assembly case from carrying case.
2 Wind the hook assembly and place it in the hook assembly housing
in the carrying case. (Two hook assemblies can be stored in the
hook assembly housing.)
