Making scaler measurements
■ Attaching the optical adapter
1 Follow “Attaching and removing the optical adapter” (page 24) to mount an optical
adapter that can be used for scaler measurement.
2 Select an optical adapter from the menu.
See “Selecting an optical adapter” (page 32).
TIP
Check “Optical adapter specifications” (page 104) for an optical adapter that can be used.
■ Steps for making scaler measurements
1 Start up
Press the [MEAS/OK] joystick while the image to be measured is displayed.
2 Specify the reference points
Align the cursors respectively with the two ends of an object in the image for which the
length is known, followed by pressing the [MEAS/OK] joystick.
3 Set the reference length
Enter the known length (reference length) accordingly by pushing the [MEAS/OK] joystick
up/down or to the left/right. Press the [MEAS/OK] joystick to confirm the input.
4 Specify the measuring points
Align the cursor with both ends of the object to measure and press the [MEAS/OK] joystick.
