Risk:
- Thermal cell damage when using preheated irrigation
uid.
Countermeasure:
• Always make sure that the temperature of the irrigation
uid does not rise above body temperature(37 °C/99 °F).

Risk:
- Localized excessive heating of the irrigation uid caused
by HF current.
Countermeasure:
• Always make sure to use a sufcient ow rate (minimum
1 liter/5 min).
NOTE!
Only use normal saline (0.9 % NaCl) when using this
product in combination with the HF unit UES-40 or HF unit
PK/SP.
If non-conductive irrigation uids are used, there will be no
cutting, coagulatory, or vaporisation effect.
Refer to the instruction manual of the HF unit PK/SP.

Risk of death or serious injury
Improper use of HF current can cause endogenous or
exogenous burns, and explosions. Thoroughly review the
HF current safety information included in the Olympus
Endoscopy System Guide.

Do not activate the electrode release button when operating
the instrument. If HF current is activated, spark discharge
may occur and the instrument may be damaged.
