Manual cleaning (working element)
• Immerse the instrument in alkaline cleaning agent for at
least 30 minutes.
• Thoroughly brush all outer surfaces with an A0451
cleaning brush.
• Alternately brush the spring (see illustration 1) with an
A0451 cleaning brush and rinse it with alkaline cleaning
agent thoroughly.
• Use an A0451 cleaning brush to clean the whole metal
tube including the area hidden underneath the white
plastic body. To do so, push the working element’s handle
back and forth several times (see illustration 2) out of
the neutral position and brush the free areas of the metal
tube.
• Thoroughly brush all inner surfaces with a suitable
cleaning brush (A0443, A0452, A0440, A0448, or
A0446). Rinse the gap with alkaline cleaning agent.
• Rinse all parts of the instrument with fresh alkaline
cleaning agent.
• Immerse the instrument in alkaline cleaning agent and
subject it to ultrasound cleaning for at least ve minutes.
• Repeat the rinsing and brushing procedure described
above.
• Thoroughly rinse the instrument using cleaning pistol
O0190 and de-ionized water.
• Dry the instrument.
