User n Password is the user-level password. These four passwords do not allow access to the

is not defined for a particular user, that user is deactivated. These same four passwords will
coincide with the four dial back security numbers, which are explained later in this section.
Access n Password sets the password for RTS (real-time socket) or pass-through access to each of
the two or four ports.
Access Alarms Password sets the password for RTS (real-time socket) access to the alarms file.
Show Password Prompt toggles the “Password:” prompt when opening a password-protected
port.
Local Command Requires Password toggles whether or not a password is required to access the
command processor via port 2.
Modem Call in Requires Password toggles password control on modem command processor.
Telnet/TCP Requires Password toggles password control on Telnet/TCP command processor
connections.
System Administrator Password is the password that allows access to all admin commands as
well as the setup menu.
Note: If password protection is disabled for a connection method, any user connecting via that method is
automatically granted admin access.
Dialback Security Setup brings up the following menu.
