Chapter 4 - Setup
Manual Rev. 1.02 Page 35
Answer String sets the string presented when a user connects the unit via Telnet or modem.
Confirm Before Deletion toggles a confirmation message asking, “Are you sure (y/n)?” when
using the following commands: ZERO, DEFAULT, ZAP, COLDSTART, and FTEST.
Wait for NEXT causes the unit to wait for the NEXT command before sending data once the RL
command has been issued.
Omit END DATA causes the unit to send or omit the string “END DATA” when a command
processor poll is complete.
Linetag adds or omits the serial number line tags on each line.
CBB/Xmodem Autodelete is an on/off toggle controlling whether the unit will automatically
delete each record as it is successfully polled via Xmodem or CBB.
CBB DLE Stuffing is a CBB-specific configuration option.
CBB Retransmits is a CBB-specific configuration option.
CBB Timeout is a CBB-specific configuration option.
Release Mode is a toggle containing the following options: line, CBB, and Xmodem.
Release Compressed toggles simple space compression of released data. Compressed line mode
uses the following simple compression algorithm to speed up data transfer:
Spaces in compressed line mode are replaced with lowercase alphabetic characters. ‘a’ = 1 space;
‘n’ = 14 spaces; ‘ze’ = 26+5 spaces, or 31.
Note: When using compressed line mode, the original record may contain no lowercase letters in order
to avoid data damaged by a decompression process.
