What to do if my onga SMH90 Water Pump operates but delivers no water?
    • J
      Jennifer MoranAug 8, 2025
If your Onga Water Pump runs but doesn't deliver water, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the pump is filled with water. Next, the suction head might be too high, or the foot valve/strainer isn't submerged enough; try lengthening the suction pipe, but no more than 8 meters. Check for air leaks in the suction pipe and joints. Also, the suction pipe/strainer or non-return valves might be clogged with debris, or the pump itself might be clogged. Cleaning these components may resolve the issue.

      Ashlee SullivanAug 15, 2025
If your Onga Water Pump isn't operating and the motor isn't running, there are a few potential causes. First, verify that there is electricity available to the pump. Next, make sure the pump is plugged in correctly. Finally, check if the circuit breaker has been activated, and if so, reset it.

How to troubleshoot reduced performance in Onga Water Pump?
    • A
      Antonio WilliamsAug 25, 2025
To troubleshoot reduced performance in your Onga Water Pump, consider these potential causes: the suction head might be too high, so reduce it. If the foot valve/strainer is only partially submerged, try lengthening the suction pipe. A worn or damaged pump shaft seal can cause this issue, so replace any defective parts. Debris partially blocking the pump can also reduce performance; remove any debris and flush the pump with clean water. Lastly, check the pressure switch settings and adjust them if they are incorrectly set, or replace faulty parts.

What to do if onga SMH90 Water Pump hums and the thermal relays cut in and out?
    • A
      Allen OdomAug 30, 2025
If your Onga Water Pump is humming and the thermal relays are cutting in and out, it could be due to a few reasons. The pump might be clogged by debris, in which case you should clean the suction pipe and foot valve/strainer. Flush the pump with water and remove the priming and drain plugs. If it still doesn't start, dismantle and clean it. Alternatively, the capacitor might be defective and need replacement.
