When

setting
this
switch
to
the
-20dB

position
reduces

sound
volume

about 1/10
(-20dB)
of
its
full
capacity.
This
makes
low-volume
adjustment
easier
to
perform.

increase
the
volume.

be
handled
by
remote
control,
using
the

RC-AV20M
Onkyo
programmable
remote
control.

remote

equipped

codes

memory.

desired
position

operation

remote

by
using

the
unit.

Tone
Boosting
Sys-
tem.
About
the
Variable
Tone
Boosting
System
This
unit
is
designed
to
gradually
reduce
the
effect
of
the
tone
controls
(contrabass,
bass
and
treble)
as
the
volume
exceeds
a
certain
level,
The
variable
boosting
system
gradually
reduces
the
boosting
effect
of
the
contrabass
[21
and
bass[Z0]andtreble
[73]
controis
when
one
or
all
of
these
controls
is
turned
beyond
(to
the
right)
the
center
defeat
position
and
the
volume
control
{Blis
turned
beyond
the
15
graduation
(the
12:
00
position).
When
the
volume
is
turned
ali
the
way
up,
the
frequency
response
will
be
flat
again.
Volume
settings
below
the
15
graduation
have
no
effect
on
the
tone
controls.
Also,
bass
and
treble
control
settings
below
(to
the
left
of)
the
center
defeat
position
are
not
altered
by
the
volume
jevel.
