Troubleshooting guide
If the A-G10 fails to function normally. first check the following points before contacting your Onkyo dealer. If the problem is not&ved
after going through the following list, unplug the power cord and contact your Onkyo authorized service center.
Problem
No power.
Power on but no sound,
Cause
Remedy
‘© Power cord is not correctly plugged into|
AC outlet.
‘© Power switch is not set to ON position.
® Plug the power cord into the AC outiet priPerly.
© When power is taken from another preamplifier,
also set the amplifier power switch to ON.
® Bad connections.
© Check input leads, speaker leads, pin plug, etc.
Hum, fow frequency noise.
‘© Poor or no input ground,
® Poor ot no phono motor ground.
Howling when the volume is turned up.
Rough or scratchy sound. High range is
not clear.
© Turntable and speakers are too close
together.
© Stylus of pick-up is worn.
© Stylus is dirty.
® Treble control is too high.
© Check outer conductor of input plugs.
© Check for proper ground connection.
© Move them farther apart.
@ Replace.
@ Clean.
®@ Turn trebie control down.
