Reverse mode selector

Recheck the tape travel direction setting (shown by the Direction indicator) before beginning playback or recording.
The following explanation assumes that cassette side A is facing outward.
Due to the location of the photo sensor, the transparent leader must go by the heads before being detected for reverse-to-forward
switching. As a result, the silent gap is about one second longer than the forward-to-reverse switching gap.

Note that even if the leader is not detected, the direction of tape travel will still be reversed (provided the deck is set to one of the
