Also, check if the mute function is activated and deactivate it by pressing the MUTE button. Verify that the volume isn't too low and increase it by pressing the VOL + button until it reaches 100. If you're playing an SACD via coaxial or optical digital audio, switch to analogue or HDMI audio output, or set SACD Priority to CD mode. Similarly, for DVD-Audio, use analogue or HDMI, or switch to DVD-Video playback mode due to copyright restrictions.
