Why is there no sound on my Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray Player?
    • K
      Kevin ZamoraAug 13, 2025
There could be several reasons for no sound. First, ensure the audio cable is properly connected. If it is, check if the mute function is activated and deactivate it by pressing the MUTE button. Also, verify that the volume isn't too low by pressing the VOL + button to increase the volume. If you are playing SACD and using a coaxial or optical digital audio connection, note that this is not supported due to copyright restrictions. Use the analog or HDMI audio output instead. Alternatively, set SACD Priority to CD mode to play the CD layer. The same applies to DVD-Audio, which also requires analog or HDMI output or switching to DVD-Video playback mode.

What to do if the Oppo BDP-93 remote control is not working?
    • K
      Kelly HerringAug 16, 2025
If the remote control isn't working, first ensure you are within the effective range. If that’s not the issue, replace the batteries. If it still fails, the remote control code might be incorrect. To fix this, open the disc tray, aim the remote at the player, and press and hold the ENTER button on the remote for 5 seconds to set the remote code.

Why does my Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray Player show a 'No Disc' or 'Unknown Disc' error?
    • A
      Anita LeeAug 20, 2025
This error can occur for several reasons. First, eject the disc and check if a disc is actually loaded or if the loaded disc is incompatible. If the disc surface is dirty, eject it and clean any dirt or fingerprints. Ensure the disc is properly loaded with the label side facing up and the record side facing down. Finally, condensation on the laser pick-up head can cause this issue. Turn on the player, eject the disc, and leave the player on for about an hour.

How to fix Oppo BDP-93 when there is no picture?
    • T
      thomasparkerAug 25, 2025
If there's no picture, start by checking the video cable to ensure it's properly connected. Next, make sure your TV input is correctly selected to the input where the player is connected. If you have accidentally engaged the “Pure Audio” mode, press the PURE button to cancel it. Finally, the video output format or video system may not be supported by your TV. Select a supported output resolution or, when playback is stopped, press and hold the P/N button, or set the correct TV System in the Setup Menu.

Why is there no color on my Oppo BDP-93?
    • A
      Andrea SmithAug 27, 2025
If there is no color, it could be due to several reasons. The video system may not be supported by your TV; when playback is completely stopped, press and hold the P/N button or set the correct TV System in the Setup Menu. Check the saturation setting on both your TV and the player. If you're using component output, ensure the three cables are properly plugged in, not damaged, and that the colors of the plugs match the jacks on both ends. Also, if using composite video output, verify that the cable is correctly plugged into the composite video jack, not a component video jack.

    Kathryn GonzalesAug 31, 2025
Why are the colors incorrect on my Oppo Blu-ray Player?
    • E
      Emily WoodAug 31, 2025
If the colors are incorrect, and you're using HDMI for video output, check the color space setting on both the TV and the player. If you're using component video output, check the three component video cables to ensure the signals match on both ends.

Why is my Oppo Blu-ray Player having temporary function failures?
    • L
      Lisa BowmanSep 4, 2025
Temporary function failures can occur if you are using a scratched or damaged disc; try replacing the disc. Some functions are unavailable during playback; stop playback completely and try again. Interference from other devices can also cause this; identify interference by turning off other devices, and then relocate or replace the offending device.

Why are some Setup Menu items grayed out on my Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray Player?
    • J
      Jeremy RiveraSep 8, 2025
Some setup options cannot be changed while a disc is playing. Fully stop playback, eject the disc, and then try the Setup Menu again.
