Charging the battery pack
Your Opus T2 radio is supplied with a rechargeable lithium-ion
(Li-ion) battery pack.
This battery should be fully charged before first use to ensure
optimum capacity and performance.
The battery is designed specifically for use with the Opus T2 and
related charger. Do not use a battery or charger from a different
product.
For maximum flexibility, you can charge the battery separately or
whilst attached to the radio.
The supplied lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery can be safely re-charged
after only partial use. It is not necessary to fully discharge the
battery between charges.
Operating time
To extend the operating time (endurance) of your radio between
charges, your radio is equipped with a Battery Save feature which
is enabled by default.
The operating time you experience will vary based on your own
usage pattern.
The standard Opus T2 battery is designed to deliver at least 18
hours operation with a usage pattern of 5% transmit, 5% receive
and 90% standby.
