Troubleshooting
The following is a non-exhaustive list of possible faults and
remedies. Please check the website for further information and
advice.
If you continue to experience a problem please contact your
supplier.
Issue
Possible cause and solution
Radio won’t switch on
Check battery connection.
Recharge/replace the battery pack.
Operating temperature (high/low temperatures
will affect battery life).
Water damage.
Hearing other
conversations
Select a different channel.
Poor audio quality
Position radio correctly.
Check volume setting.
Recharge/replace the battery pack.
Check speaker and microphone for dirt or
debris/obstruction.
Check for nearby electrical interference.
Limited talk range
Reduce obstructions. Steel and/or concrete
structures, heavy foliage, buildings and vehicles
all decrease range. Try to minimise such
obstacles and achieve a clearer line of sight to
improve transmission.
Wearing radio close to body such as in a pocket
or on a belt decreases range.
Upgrade antenna (PRO version only)
Change location of other radio(s).
No transmit or receive
Check that all radios are using the same channel.
Make sure the PTT button is completely pressed
when talking and released when listening.
Check battery connection.
Recharge/replace the battery pack.
Check that the radio is not Scanning.
