Troubleshooting
The following is a non-exhaustive list of possible faults and
remedies. Please check the website for further information and
advice.
If you continue to experience a problem please contact your
supplier.
Issue
Possible cause and solution
Radio won’t switch on
 Check battery connection.
 Recharge/replace the battery pack.
 Operating temperature (high/low temperatures
will affect battery life).
 Water damage.
Hearing other
conversations
 Select a different channel.
Poor audio quality
 Position radio correctly.
 Check volume setting.
 Recharge/replace the battery pack.
 Check speaker and microphone for dirt or
debris/obstruction.
 Check for nearby electrical interference.
Limited talk range
 Reduce obstructions. Steel and/or concrete
structures, heavy foliage, buildings and vehicles
all decrease range. Try to minimise such
obstacles and achieve a clearer line of sight to
improve transmission.
 Wearing radio close to body such as in a pocket
or on a belt decreases range.
 Upgrade antenna (PRO version only)
 Change location of other radio(s).
No transmit or receive
 Check that all radios are using the same channel.
 Make sure the PTT button is completely pressed
when talking and released when listening.
 Check battery connection.
 Recharge/replace the battery pack.
 Check that the radio is not Scanning.
