temperature when starting the test is 21.7 ºC? Then first aspiration
will be done at 20 ºC.)
o or “ENTER VALUE HERE” > the first aspiration will be made at the
sample temperature set here (example: “Start at: 10 ºC” will
command the instrument to cool the sample down to 10 ºC before
the first aspiration is made at that temperature).
• Sampling rate: select the aspiration temperature interval (aspiration
every 1 ºC, every 2 ºC, or every 3 ºC, and so on). NOTE: For most
existing methods this should be 1 ºC.
• Cleaning cycles: select the amount aspiration cycles the CFPP head should
perform when cleaning the pipette.
• Drying time: select the time duration in seconds for drying the pipette.
Cooling profile:
Press “+” to add the first cooling step.
• Bath: enter desired bath temperature.
o Pressing the 🔄 symbol determines whether the set temperature is a
fixed temperature (ºC), or the amount of degrees per hour the
cooling bath will ramp down (ºC/h). This ramping option should be
chosen when making a method for linear cooling, for instance for
the EN16329 method.
NOTE: when choosing this ramping option, make sure the
temperature is a negative value, otherwise the bath temperature
will increase instead of decrease.
• Condition: determines the condition under which the above set bath
temperature is active. Pressing the 🔄 symbol gives a few different
condition options:
o ºC ST: this is the sample temperature (for instance: -20 ºC) until
which the above set bath temperature is active. When this sample
temperature is reached, the next bath step will be activated.
o sec.: this is the amount of seconds the bath temperature will be
active until the next bath step will be activated.
o min.: this is the amount of minutes the bath temperature will be
active until the next bath step will be activated.
