Why is my Oriental motor BLV Engine not rotating?
    • K
      Kim HamptonAug 4, 2025
If your Oriental motor Engine isn't rotating, first ensure the driver and power supply are properly connected. If both the FWD and REV inputs are ON or OFF, turn either FWD or REV input ON. If the internal potentiometer is not adjusted, turn it clockwise to set the speed. Ensure the potentiometer is correctly selected: turn the M0 input OFF for the internal potentiometer, or ON for the external one. Check the external potentiometer or DC voltage connection. Finally, if the ALARM LED is blinking, it indicates a protective function has been triggered; refer to p.64 to reset the alarm.

What to do if my Oriental motor Engine rotates in the opposite direction?
    • V
      vyoungAug 10, 2025
If your Oriental motor Engine rotates in the wrong direction, check the FWD and REV input connections. The motor should rotate clockwise when FWD is ON and counterclockwise when REV is ON. If you're using a gear ratio where the gearhead output shaft rotates opposite to the motor, or a combination type-hollow shaft flat gearhead, reverse the FWD and REV input operations. With the combination type-hollow shaft flat gearhead, ensure you are viewing the gearhead in the correct direction as the rotation direction changes based on the viewing direction.

Why does my Oriental motor BLV Engine not stop instantaneously?
    • M
      Matthew PayneAug 16, 2025
If your Oriental motor Engine doesn't stop immediately, ensure the STOP-MODE input is OFF to enable instantaneous stopping. Also, consider whether the load inertia is too large; if so, reduce it.

How to fix unstable operation and excessive vibration in my Oriental motor BLV?
    • H
      Helen HendersonAug 22, 2025
If your Oriental motor Engine operation is unstable or the motor vibration is excessive, first check the alignment of the motor and gearhead output shaft with the load shaft. Misalignment can cause instability. Also, consider the effect of electrical noise. To check for noise, operate only the essential equipment (motor, driver, and required external equipment). If noise is present, keep away from noise sources, reconsider the wiring, use shielded cables, and install ferrite cores.

What to do if the electromagnetic brake of my Oriental motor Engine does not hold the load?
    • K
      Kevin HillAug 28, 2025
If the electromagnetic brake on your Oriental motor Engine isn't holding the load, ensure the MB-FREE input is turned OFF. When MB-FREE is ON, the brake is disengaged.
