BATTERY USE, CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Failure to properly use, charge and store the baeries will void the warranty, and may
cause a hazardous situaon. DO NOT use this baery with any other vehicle or appliance.
Use of this baery with any other product will void the warranty, and may create a
hazardous condion that could cause a re resulng in severe injury or death,
and property damage.
WARNING!
Never short circuit the discharge terminals of the baeries, ie touching the contacts
together via a tool, etc. A short circuit will damage the baery and could cause a re
resulng in severe injury or death, and property damage.
WARNING!
Keep the baery away from excessive heat and/or open ames. Avoid long term exposure
to direct rays from the sun.
CAUTION
Protect the baeries from water or other moisture. If the baeries become wet from rain
during use, dry as soon as possible. Remove the baeries from the bike before washing.
CAUTION
To avoid damage to the baery, never subject it to intense physical shock or
severe vibraon.
CAUTION
Never open the baery box. Doing so could damage the baery & will void the warranty.

Your OSET features a 48v drive system, for use with a sealed 48V lithium baery.
Under NO circumstances should this baery box be opened by anyone other than a
trained OSET technician.
Doing so can damage the baery and/or bike & will void any warranty.
OSET recommend using a ‘mulmeter’ to
monitor the health of the baery. You will be
able to easily and instantly see the charge of
the baery.
In order to test the baery voltage using a
mulmeter, connect the negave & posive
probes to a pair of pins on the discharge port
on the baery as shown.
A mulmeter is also very useful in diagnosing
any electrical problems on the bike.
We are condent that you will enjoy many miles of pleasurable riding with your OSET
electric bike baeries. However, baeries do eventually wear out.
When this happens, we urge you to properly dispose of your used baeries.
For guidance regarding proper disposal of your baeries, please contact your local dealer,
distributor or the customer service department at OSET.
In the USA you can nd very useful informaon regarding used baery drop-o sites from
the Rechargeable Baery Recycling Corporaon (RBRC) at www.rbrc.org or through their
ocial program www.call2recycle.org.

BATTERY DISPOSAL
When tesng the baery voltage, you should have a reading of between 34.0 & 54.4V
depending on the state of charge of the baery. If you read anything outside of this
range, please disconnect the baery immediately and contact your OSET dealer,
importer or OSET customer services.
