1. GENERAL INFORMATION AND SAFETY
RECOMMENDATIONS
The purpose of this manual is to present every type of the battery charger for
PUMA T2 hand-held radio terminals and to supply a relative technical-functional
description.
1.1 AUDIENCE
This manual is thought as a reference guide for all techincal personnel. Thus it is
meant for the following people:
• Operator, in order to have a deeper knowledge of the equipment and of its
use.
• Maintenance technical personnel, in order to have a general vision of the
equipment, of its general use and its technical characteristics.
1.2 MANUAL CONTENT
The documentation present in this technical manual is organized as follows:
• Sec. 1 – General overview of the equipment and safety rules.
• Sec. 2 – Description of the TETRA Network.
• Sec. 3 – It is described in particular the internal structure of the equipment by
showing the block diagrams of the boards it is composed of.
• Sec. 4 – It gives the necessary directions to make a correct installation.
• Sec. 5 – It gives the directions to be periodically followed for the equipment’s
maintenance.
• Sec. 6 – It gives the directions to be followed to locate a fault in case of
equipment’s troubleshooting.
