The microprocessor has the following main duties:
• faulty battery recognition;
• battery type recognition;
• temperature monitoring;
• charging voltage monitoring.
The eight LEDs (the four LEDs relative to the upper slot and the ones relative to
the lower slot) present under each couple of charging slots are controlled through a
latch by the microcontroller.
As far as the battery contacts and the battery type recognition are concerned all
the things said for the BCP2-850/BCP6-850 models are valid (see par. 3.1.1).
