Function Description
The Flowpet-NX is a direct-readout type counter specifically designed for accurate flow measurement of oil. It utilizes the principle of an Oval positive displacement meter to ensure high precision. The device can be equipped with a pulse generator, allowing it to output signals for flowrate information. This enables integration with remotely located receiving instruments for control, regulation, or recording processes. The mechanical register provides a clear and legible display of accumulated flow.

Usage Features
- Installation Flexibility: The Flowpet-NX can be installed in both horizontal and vertical piping configurations. For vertical lines, it is recommended to install it on the bypass side to prevent scales from falling from the top of the piping assembly.
- Adjustable Flow Direction: The flow direction can be easily changed from right-to-left to left-to-right, or top-to-bottom to bottom-to-top, by rotating the register 180 degrees and re-installing the meter body.
- Strainer Integration: A strainer is recommended upstream of the meter to prevent foreign matter from entering and damaging the measuring chamber.
- Warm-up Procedure: For high-temperature liquids (exceeding 80°C), a warm-up period of at least 10 minutes is recommended to ensure uniform temperature distribution in the measuring chamber.
- Careful Valve Operation: During initial piping and operation, careful valve manipulation is crucial to prevent violent spinning of the rotors by compressed air, which could damage the meter.
- Lagging Work: For cold regions or when metering solidifying materials, lagging work for the flowmeter and strainer is recommended, but the register and pulse generator must not be lagged.
Maintenance Features
- Easy Disassembly for Inspection: The design allows for relatively straightforward disassembly of the meter body and register for inspection and cleaning.
- Strainer Cleaning: The strainer net should be inspected and cleaned regularly. For newly installed piping, daily inspection is recommended initially, gradually decreasing the frequency based on observations.
- O-ring Replacement: In case of liquid leaks, O-rings on the meter body cover can be replaced.
- Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a troubleshooting section to address common issues such as fluid not flowing, liquid leaks, and the register failing to count, offering possible causes and countermeasures.
