Plug-In Auto Tuning
oPlug-in Auto Tuning does not work if you turn the unit on by press-
ing [_., OPEN/CLOSE] or [1_, PLAY].
oAfter the unit sets the clock automatically, it then adjusts the clock
everyday.
elf the unit sets the time incorrectly, use _ime Zone Adjust" to cor-
rect it (m page 89). i
oYou can give the stations captions (-- page 92).

=If you connect the unit through a cable TV box or DSS receiver
(m page 76), tune to your local PBS station before starting auto 1_
clock setting. Use manual clock setting (m page 88) if this does not _,_
work. _'._
elf there is no local PBS channel in your area then Auto Clock Set-
ling may not work correctly. In this case the time must be set man-
ua_ly (=_page 88). _:_
• Channel plan
The unit automatically determines the type of transmission (airwave
or cable] and puts them into channels as follows.

house, for example)
Main unit only
While the unit is on and stopped
I. Press and hold Iv, CH] and [^, CH] for about five seconds.
oThe unit turns off.
2. Press [(_/I, POWER] to turn the unit on.
The screen shown in step 1 on page 16 appears. Press [ENTER] to
start Plug-in Auto Tuning.
eAntenna system, channel caption, and VCR Plus+ guide channel
settings all revert to the default values when you pedorm the
above procedure. Timer recording settings are also cleared.
